Review: Geo Color Nine/9 Color Aqua (Blue) (AN-A49)

Hey!  So here's the first review of my 'oh my gosh-- I actually want to blog again!' tour. Haha.  Hopefully, the lovely and endlessly kind Love Shoppingholics-- who sponsored these lenses-- will still talk to me. Eh heh heh...

(My haiiirrr! Ew.. I know, I know.Gross. I am actually colouring it [red] tomorrow, though!)

Enlargement: 6.5/10  The Venus Eye (aka. Mi E-Type, aka. Geo Color Nine) design is barely enlarging.

Colour/Design: 10/10 May I begin by saying  NRECRLHTWEUITNMSE RGESNAADH ASDGHLJFI7R4SJJE.  Oh. Sorry: I got a bit overexcited, there.  What I meant to say is that this is a very intense lens colour.  It is very visible in real life, too, and not only in photos/videos.

This is a rather blue-ish aqua, but there are definitely hints of the expected green tint.  The pigment is opaque and not quite light, with an incredibly vibrant outcome. Hoo boy. Very bright.

Comfort: 8.5/10  Generally, Geo lenses are not comfortable for me, but these are more wearable than most of my other Geo lenses have been.

Overall, I really, really like these lenses. C:  They are minimally enlarging (which is my preference), and have a super vibrant shade of blue/aqua. Wow, is it ever vibrant. Good job, Geo: you have me interested, somewhat, for the first time in years.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, and Three.

Birthday(s), 1 OOTD, + a Lash Review Preview~

Hello, my lovely and patient readers! (Very patient. Very, very patient. Oh gods are you ever patient. ;  - ;  I'm so soorryyyy~.)

I'll try and keep this short and to the point. Or as most bloggers truly aim for: a somewhat engaging read, anyway.

Firstly?

BIRTHDAY(S)

[- His -]

On 13 December, Colby had his 14th birthday.  "Who the hell is Colby??!?!" you demand, crazed with an overwhelming and violent sort of curiosity.  He's my awesome dog. Duh.

He's a mutt (German Shepherd, Yellow Lab, and Chow Chow) we got from the humane shelter about 13 years ago.  Actually, here is an obnoxious amount of pictures of my dog:

(Sometimes he likes to look heroic. Sort of.)

(This is his usual spot: by the front door.)

[- Mine -]

On 3 January, I turned. Um. Twenty-something. Eh Ehm. (I've decided I'll stick with 20 until I turn 40, whereupon I shall move up to 25 years old every year. Yup.)

I didn't really do anything. (Which is the usual.)  Actually, I opted 'no' on a cake this year, since it's really just my mom and I at home, now, and we're not too big on cake/ice cream/sweets.

Mama and I did go out to dinner at Red Robin, though. (I'm not fond of burgers/red meat, so luckily they have a very tasty spicy turkey burger. ♥)

(This is the saltiest thing ever. :[ )

I try to keep my birthday on the low-down, usually, as I never really got into doing anything much for it. *shrug*

LASH REVIEW PREVIEW

Yes, that's right: I will be reviewing false eyelashes (the Toyoepin Eye 7713)!  I've never really done a review for anything that is not a circle lens, circle lens shop, or shopping service, but Love-Shoppingholics really encouraged me to leave my comfort zone.

So yeah. Expect a full review of the  by February. (If I can figure out how to wear the lower lashes, ever. Haha.) Trying new things is intriguing.

OOTD
(Finally.)
8 January

I do not even remember what I did that day. Ahaha.  I think I went to a friend's house...  Eh.

Anyway, TOODLES~!

Review: Luxury Babe 02 Grey

Hello!  I am still sleep-deprived, even though it is now my winter break! What.  No matter.  For today, I have a review of a pair of lenses kindly sponsored by Apple of Your Eyes (aka. Serenity Shop)!

Enlargement: 8/10  The actual DIA is ~15 mm, but they enlarge more like a 14.5 mm lens for me.

Colour/Design: 9.5/10  THE COLOUR(S).♥  They are very opaque.  The grey is a fairly neutral hue: most brands have rather blue-tinted greys, but this one? Not so much.  Also, although this is not a pale or extremely light grey, it is still very visible, especially since the yellowish 'blending' colour in the middle is also vibrant.

In combination with the purposefully thick + prominent black circle, this is one very noticeable 3-tone lens.

Comfort: 9.5/10  These lenses are even more comfy than my other Luxury Babe lenses were. Bless.

All in all, I really, really like these lenses. The design is just so bold and the colour is perfectly suited for my taste. It's a very versatile lens, though, I think.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, and Seven.

OOTD + 'Hair (Colour) Update' + Camwhoring~

(Is anyone truly surprised that there is canwhoring?)

Alright. Firstly?

MY HAIIRRR

Remember that post a while ago? Where I was wondering which hair colour to choose between?? Yeah. It's go time.

I am not necessarily tired of being blonde/bronde, but I am tired of the upkeep. (Ugghhh- my roots are so dark.) I never knew how quickly my hair grew until I went to a light hair colour....

Plus? All this processing slowly kills my hair. :/  (It's a bit thinner/less voluminous than it was before.) No thanks.

I'm getting an ombre! :D  Here are the same 2 pictures from last time of what I might get: blonde or red.

 (Microsoft Paint, I ♥ you)

I'll more likely go for the blonde, since that way, I don't really have to go back to get it re-coloured! From my roots (and quite a bit on) will just be my natural hair colour, after all. 8]  Brilliant! (And cost-effective.)

However, creatively, the red does appeal to me more. Because... ♥ COLOUR ♥.  The upkeep for red (and especially for a shade that intense/vibrant) would be hellish. :/

Still! For both, much of my hair will remain untouched by ~chemicals~.   I don't know: I have about a month to figure this out....

OPINONS?? (again?)

OOTD

31 October

(This Halloween's OOTD is very different from last Halloween's OOTD. Haha.)

I wore this to triumphantly (and desperately) go to the mall and pick up my Limited Edition copy of Assassin's Creed 3 that I pre-ordered.  (Why yes-- yes I am smug.)  Comfy outfit, quick makeup + hair, and a fun day out with a friend (an actual, human friend: I don't mean the video game).  A great day, all around.

Now... it's camwhoring time! :D

(So happy~)

Review: Candy(licious) Charm Violet

Hey there! Thanks for sticking with me, you lovely people! I have posted so rarely as of late. :/  (Yes, I am still on a soft hiatus, but still feel bad.)  To prove I am alive, have this review of a pair of lenses kindly sponsored by Apple of Your Eyes (aka. Serenity Shop).

((If you shop there, Use my VIP referral code: Noxin, for another 5% off your purchase at Apple of Your Eyes.  [You already get 5% off if you're a fan of them on FaceBook.  -- You could also become a VIP member and get 10% off to start with.] ))

Enlargement: 7.5/10  The DIA is listed as something like 16.5 mm, but since lenses do not go over 15 mm, the true DIA is likely 15 mm (or a bit less).  Frankly, these look like they are around 14.5 mm when I wear them.

Colour/Design: 6.5/10  These are a blue-violet that is rather vibrant in some lighting, but are not that light overall. The design is one I've seen before in the G&G/Dueba DM25 series (which I had in grey a few years ago). That being said, the pattern looks rather geometric to me.

The black, nearly triangular 'spikes' jutting toward the outside rim add a bit of texture to an otherwise boring lens design. (Fairly thick black circle, and a fairly thin coloured ring inside.) These are sort of like a tweaked version of the popular Candy/Jelly/Sakura design. Similar to those lenses, these do not offer much colour coverage. :/

- Hyper/Super Pinky Violet vs. Candy Charm Violet -

- (Dueba) OT Star/Otoo Eye Violet vs. Candy Charm Violet -

Comfort: 9/10  So Candy(licious) lenses are from G&G (and/or Dueba), and both of these brands are always very comfy for me: these lenses included.

(At some angles, I actually like my bone structure.)

Overall, I'm not fond of these lenses, unfortunately  It's because the violet is not light enough to hold my attention. Plus, this is a design I've seen (and worn) before and do not find very interesting.  If I was less picky about violet lenses, or if I liked a subtle effect, I very well might like these. (They are kind of cute...)

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six.
