Birthday(s), 1 OOTD, + a Lash Review Preview~

Hello, my lovely and patient readers! (Very patient. Very, very patient. Oh gods are you ever patient. ;  - ;  I'm so soorryyyy~.)

I'll try and keep this short and to the point. Or as most bloggers truly aim for: a somewhat engaging read, anyway.

Firstly?

BIRTHDAY(S)

On 13 December, Colby had his 14th birthday.  "Who the hell is Colby??!?!" you demand, crazed with an overwhelming and violent sort of curiosity.  He's my awesome dog. Duh.

He's a mutt (German Shepherd, Yellow Lab, and Chow Chow) we got from the humane shelter about 13 years ago.  Actually, here is an obnoxious amount of pictures of my dog:

On 3 January, I turned. Um. Twenty-something. Eh Ehm. (I've decided I'll stick with 20 until I turn 40, whereupon I shall move up to 25 years old every year. Yup.)

I didn't really do anything. (Which is the usual.)  Actually, I opted 'no' on a cake this year, since it's really just my mom and I at home, now, and we're not too big on cake/ice cream/sweets.

Mama and I did go out to dinner at Red Robin, though. (I'm not fond of burgers/red meat, so luckily they have a very tasty spicy turkey burger. ♥)

(This is the saltiest thing ever. :[ )

I try to keep my birthday on the low-down, usually, as I never really got into doing anything much for it. *shrug*

LASH REVIEW PREVIEW

Yes, that's right: I will be reviewing false eyelashes (the Toyoepin Eye 7713)!  I've never really done a review for anything that is not a circle lens, circle lens shop, or shopping service, but Love-Shoppingholics really encouraged me to leave my comfort zone.

So yeah. Expect a full review of the  by February. (If I can figure out how to wear the lower lashes, ever. Haha.) Trying new things is intriguing.

OOTD + 'Hair (Colour) Update' + Camwhoring~

Alright. Firstly?

MY HAIIRRR

Remember that post a while ago? Where I was wondering which hair colour to choose between?? Yeah. It's go time.

I am not necessarily tired of being blonde/bronde, but I am tired of the upkeep. (Ugghhh- my roots are so dark.) I never knew how quickly my hair grew until I went to a light hair colour....

Plus? All this processing slowly kills my hair. :/  (It's a bit thinner/less voluminous than it was before.) No thanks.

I'm getting an ombre! :D  Here are the same 2 pictures from last time of what I might get: blonde or red.

I'll more likely go for the blonde, since that way, I don't really have to go back to get it re-coloured! From my roots (and quite a bit on) will just be my natural hair colour, after all. 8]  Brilliant! (And cost-effective.)

However, creatively, the red does appeal to me more. Because... ♥ COLOUR ♥.  The upkeep for red (and especially for a shade that intense/vibrant) would be hellish. :/

Still! For both, much of my hair will remain untouched by ~chemicals~.   I don't know: I have about a month to figure this out....

OOTD

31 October

(This Halloween's OOTD is very different from last Halloween's OOTD. Haha.)

I wore this to triumphantly (and desperately) go to the mall and pick up my Limited Edition copy of Assassin's Creed 3 that I pre-ordered.  (Why yes-- yes I am smug.)  Comfy outfit, quick makeup + hair, and a fun day out with a friend (an actual, human friend: I don't mean the video game).  A great day, all around.

How have you lot been? It's getting super-chilly in my hemisphere, but I know some of you lucky ducks have weather going the opposite way. *shrug* Ah well: I coordinate better when I can layer, anyway. C:<

It was a very temperate day, as I remember. When it gets hot, I stop trying to coordinate pieces, and just try to stay cool. (I also sometimes look bad.) Whatever. Less clothing = staying cool~.

Wore this to KoP (King of Prussia Mall) to hang out with Anna (of Fenua Beauté) one last time before she jets out of Pennsylvania 'for good'.  ;  - ;   (She also brought a friend, S, who was just as fun to hang out/shop with!)  But... WHOM SHALL I EAT WITH AT CHEESECAKE FACTORY, NOW??! There will be nobody to share my mushroom bites with. *creying*

Okay, first order of business? CHECK OUT MY SISTER'S BLOG!! :D  She finally made one and I cannot wait to see where she goes with it next. She is one of the most creative people I have ever met (in about every arena), smart, and an extremely sharp dresser to boot. She's super-sweet and you'll love her-- I promise!

So yeah.  GO SEE HER BLOG, Y'ALL~.

Secondly, as I stated earlier, I am (sort of) alive, still. I got over my awful cold, but my body has moved on to new adventures.  That is, I've been having dizzy spells lately. (I generally have low blood pressure, as does my brother, but neither of us has ever had this symptom.)   My diet's what it always has been, and the only thing I'm doing differently is waking up 2 hours earlier for school.

I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, so hopefully I'll find an answer then.

P.S. Yes, I started school again, and I'm commuting. So I have, like, 10 hour days, now. Ew. Blogging time has been reduced~.

OOTDs

5 July

Went shopping on a hot day (96° F/ 35° C)!  Had to buy shorts and tops to wear on vacation and look for a semi-formal dress to wear to my grandfather's 80th birthday party. :] (Found the dress at F21. ♥)  I wore makeup (and lenses), which is rather rare.

Ran boring errands: had to return a purchase at Macy's, pre-order Assassin's Creed 3 (fawk yeahhh), and pick up a check.

Went to PennDOT (the 'DMV') to renew my expiring state ID. (Yes: I have no driver's license. I keep forgetting to take the driver's test before my learner's permit expires. Oops...) Boring outfit, I know~.

Mother took me out for Friday dinner (at Bertucci's). C:  Ah-- and that's the same necklace I wore in the first OOTD. Just so ya' know~.

Update + 3 OOTDs (and a HOTD)

Hey there! I feel like I'm always updating this blog to let you lovely folks know I'm still alive. xD  (* - Skip the wall of text if you just want to see the OOTDs - *)

Well, I am! Still alive, that is. Haha.  I'll try and stay away from too much detail, but I can tell you the main 3 reasons I've been gone:

1.) I owed my university nearly $500-- which I did not have on hand.  Mind you, mes parents did not have the extra, and I am currently unemployed. Most of my time the past month was spent panicking and scrounging around for all that moolah. Ugh. (Less helpful was how they told me about this so late after the semester ended.)

2.) My mum got in another accident and somewhat re-injured her back (and neck), which were initially injured in a more serious car accident several months ago. Luckily, she's okay: this one was just a minor fender-bender: some assbutt rear-ended her in the middle of a traffic jam. (He said he was "distracted" and "didn't hit the brakes in time".  Right. I hope the text message is worth the money you're paying now.)

3.) My laptop charger decided to die. And nobody else had a compatible one.   And due to the university bill, I didn't have an extra $10 to spend on a charger until very recently. (This past weekend, actually.)  I could sneak on my mum's laptop and quickly queue stuff for my Tumblr, but I haven't checked my email or YouTube since early June. D:

So yeah-- I managed to get my school the money finally on Monday, have received a new laptop adapter, and I'm helping out my mother as much as I can. (All laundry, ironing, cleaning, cooking, etc. is up to me.) -- Sorry for whinging! On to more fun topics!

Now, I was recently tagged by the ever-so-amazing Bunny (over at Lapin de Lune) to complete this little survey of random questions.  I've never really done anything of the sort, so it was definitely interesting to add to my 'usual' type of blog post. o:

The Questions

1.) What kind of weather do you like the most?

I adore overcast/cloudy weather. (A little bit of rain is also pretty awesome~.) For whatever reason, I always feel the most creative and introspective in that kind of weather: I'll just want to write or draw constantly.

2.) Whenever you're down, what instantly cheers you up?

Hm.... I'd say cooking.  Or perhaps thinking of one of my best friends. <3

3.) Did your childhood dreams change as you got older, or remain the same?

Interesting question~.  I'd say that they generally remained the same. (Not that I'm necessarily following any/all of them...)

4.) Do you prefer Mac or PC?

PC all the way, baby! (I used both frequently when I was younger, but once I started picking my own technology, I tended to prefer PCs.)

5.) What is one thing to absolutely have to do every day for your day to feel complete?

I need to go through my face-washing routine. There're 3 or 4 products I use, and I need to get through them all so I can feel like sleeping. Haha.

6.) If you had to go without any communication technology for a week, do you think you'd be okay?

Yep.  I went an entire summer without a computer a few years ago, actually, and I did just fine.  (Although I would like the chance to email my sponsors and friends/family before-hand so they don't think I died or something. xD)

7.) What inspired you to start a blog? Personal reasons? Social reasons? Etc?

Eh... social reasons, I s'pose?  I literally just realized I had way too many lenses to review to just keep on my Gaia Online CL thread alone.

8.) Do you like Disneyland?

Eh.  It's not awful. :/  As a general rule, I do not like amusement/theme parks.  Never really have.  (I know, I know: I'm boooring~.)  I did rather like/prefer Universal Studios, though, when I went....

 

9.) What is one guilty pleasure you have? (Whether it's food, music, hobby, etc.)

Huh.  It's not a guilty pleasure, really, but I freakin' love pineapple. xD  Like I can eat an entire pineapple by myself in one day.  Or maybe I should say ginger tea with honey?  I will have two cups of super strong ginger tea a day, if it's possible. <333

10.) Do you think of yourself as a person who lives without regrets? 

Not truly:  I'm an over-analyst by nature, so I will attempt to weigh every foreseeable outcome and consequence of a choice.  I'm almost always satisfied + sure of my decisions, but every so often, I have a 'what if~' moment.  It's more curiosity than regret, though, I think.

11.) Are you as bad at coming up with questions for these things as I am? ;P

I'm alive!! Sort of.  (My hiatuses are always 3x longer than I plan...)  On that note, it's my birthday today, so I may be being kidnapped by friends and family for a day or two...

ON TO THE REAL NEWS:  My dad said he's making me my own website. <3  Hoorah~. (How quickly that will happen, though? Who knows.) 

PLUS: I'M GETTING MY HAIR COLOURED ON SATURDAY! 

:DD  I want to make a major change in hair colour, but I don't know what to do.  Should I ombre my hair?  Should I go lighter?  Should I get crazy streaks?  How about I mink it (just dye the underside)?  ...How terrible would a 'skunk stripe' look?

Technically, I didn't wear this outfit 'out'. I just put it on for the trip from home back to university. Haha. Really, only my friends, my father, and a few folks at a gas station on the way to school saw me wearing this.  (I don't like this outfit, though, so I'm okay with that.)

You can tell that the weather is finally starting to cool down and become more autumnal. I wear shorts and skirts all year round, but I tend to wear tights/stockings or at least higher boots during winter and autumn. ;P  You'll also see me break out my massive scarf collection.
