Review: G&G/Dueba Max Pure Grey

Again, life eats my time online. Sorry, all. <3  (And sorry to those ladies whose blogs I haven't been commenting on lately. D: )   ~~  On topic, though, thanks so much to the lovely Kiwiberry for sponsoring these lenses! <3

Enlargement: 8/10  About any Max Pure series is 14.5 mm, and these are no exception.  Average enlargement for that size.

Colour/Design: 7.5/10  The Max Pure design is very well known: a dark ring (but not thick) and a thin ring of colour inside of that. The colour is opaque enough, but 'fades' as it goes inward, so there's a nice transition to your natural eye colour. (The Max Pure design looks amazing on light eyes.)  Anyway, the grey itself is blue-ish, and not all too light.  It isn't dark, really, but it's definitely rather subtle in most lightings.

Comfort: 9.5/10  G&G/Dueba is always rather comfy for me~.

All in all, the Max Pure Greys are a nice enough pair of lenses.  They enlarge a decent amount and the design is a rather popular one.  Due to my taste in lenses (I've a flair for the dramatic), these lenses just will not end up in my pile of favourites.  (Sorry.) They're dolly and adorable, but they simply.... are not exciting enough for me. D:

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six.

  6. I'm totally with you. Now, if they were as bright as say, the dollyeye series, I'd snap them up. The design is nice, but the color is boring. D:

    1. Yikes~. It's possible it was the brand~. o: EOS' base curve differs from G&G/Dueba's base curve.

Each brand makes its own version of the max pures. :]
