Review: Luxury Babe 02 Grey

Hello!  I am still sleep-deprived, even though it is now my winter break! What.  No matter.  For today, I have a review of a pair of lenses kindly sponsored by Apple of Your Eyes (aka. Serenity Shop)!

Enlargement: 8/10  The actual DIA is ~15 mm, but they enlarge more like a 14.5 mm lens for me.

Colour/Design: 9.5/10  THE COLOUR(S).♥  They are very opaque.  The grey is a fairly neutral hue: most brands have rather blue-tinted greys, but this one? Not so much.  Also, although this is not a pale or extremely light grey, it is still very visible, especially since the yellowish 'blending' colour in the middle is also vibrant.

In combination with the purposefully thick + prominent black circle, this is one very noticeable 3-tone lens.

Comfort: 9.5/10  These lenses are even more comfy than my other Luxury Babe lenses were. Bless.

All in all, I really, really like these lenses. The design is just so bold and the colour is perfectly suited for my taste. It's a very versatile lens, though, I think.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, and Seven.

OOTD + 'Hair (Colour) Update' + Camwhoring~

(Is anyone truly surprised that there is canwhoring?)

Alright. Firstly?

MY HAIIRRR

Remember that post a while ago? Where I was wondering which hair colour to choose between?? Yeah. It's go time.

I am not necessarily tired of being blonde/bronde, but I am tired of the upkeep. (Ugghhh- my roots are so dark.) I never knew how quickly my hair grew until I went to a light hair colour....

Plus? All this processing slowly kills my hair. :/  (It's a bit thinner/less voluminous than it was before.) No thanks.

I'm getting an ombre! :D  Here are the same 2 pictures from last time of what I might get: blonde or red.

 (Microsoft Paint, I ♥ you)

I'll more likely go for the blonde, since that way, I don't really have to go back to get it re-coloured! From my roots (and quite a bit on) will just be my natural hair colour, after all. 8]  Brilliant! (And cost-effective.)

However, creatively, the red does appeal to me more. Because... ♥ COLOUR ♥.  The upkeep for red (and especially for a shade that intense/vibrant) would be hellish. :/

Still! For both, much of my hair will remain untouched by ~chemicals~.   I don't know: I have about a month to figure this out....

OPINONS?? (again?)

OOTD

31 October

(This Halloween's OOTD is very different from last Halloween's OOTD. Haha.)

I wore this to triumphantly (and desperately) go to the mall and pick up my Limited Edition copy of Assassin's Creed 3 that I pre-ordered.  (Why yes-- yes I am smug.)  Comfy outfit, quick makeup + hair, and a fun day out with a friend (an actual, human friend: I don't mean the video game).  A great day, all around.

Now... it's camwhoring time! :D

(So happy~)

Review: Candy(licious) Charm Violet

Hey there! Thanks for sticking with me, you lovely people! I have posted so rarely as of late. :/  (Yes, I am still on a soft hiatus, but still feel bad.)  To prove I am alive, have this review of a pair of lenses kindly sponsored by Apple of Your Eyes (aka. Serenity Shop).

((If you shop there, Use my VIP referral code: Noxin, for another 5% off your purchase at Apple of Your Eyes.  [You already get 5% off if you're a fan of them on FaceBook.  -- You could also become a VIP member and get 10% off to start with.] ))

Enlargement: 7.5/10  The DIA is listed as something like 16.5 mm, but since lenses do not go over 15 mm, the true DIA is likely 15 mm (or a bit less).  Frankly, these look like they are around 14.5 mm when I wear them.

Colour/Design: 6.5/10  These are a blue-violet that is rather vibrant in some lighting, but are not that light overall. The design is one I've seen before in the G&G/Dueba DM25 series (which I had in grey a few years ago). That being said, the pattern looks rather geometric to me.

The black, nearly triangular 'spikes' jutting toward the outside rim add a bit of texture to an otherwise boring lens design. (Fairly thick black circle, and a fairly thin coloured ring inside.) These are sort of like a tweaked version of the popular Candy/Jelly/Sakura design. Similar to those lenses, these do not offer much colour coverage. :/

- (Dueba) OT Star/Otoo Eye Violet vs. Candy Charm Violet -

Comfort: 9/10  So Candy(licious) lenses are from G&G (and/or Dueba), and both of these brands are always very comfy for me: these lenses included.

(At some angles, I actually like my bone structure.)

Overall, I'm not fond of these lenses, unfortunately  It's because the violet is not light enough to hold my attention. Plus, this is a design I've seen (and worn) before and do not find very interesting.  If I was less picky about violet lenses, or if I liked a subtle effect, I very well might like these. (They are kind of cute...)

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six.

2 Quick OOTDs (but only 1 I like)

Hey there!  Look at me keeping up with my 'one post a week', promise! :D Huzzah~.

How have you lot been? It's getting super-chilly in my hemisphere, but I know some of you lucky ducks have weather going the opposite way. *shrug* Ah well: I coordinate better when I can layer, anyway. C:<

Speaking of layering, let's get on to the OOTDs, yes?
*

18 October

It was a very temperate day, as I remember. When it gets hot, I stop trying to coordinate pieces, and just try to stay cool. (I also sometimes look bad.) Whatever. Less clothing = staying cool~.

20 October

Wore this to KoP (King of Prussia Mall) to hang out with Anna (of Fenua Beauté) one last time before she jets out of Pennsylvania 'for good'.  ;  - ;   (She also brought a friend, S, who was just as fun to hang out/shop with!)  But... WHOM SHALL I EAT WITH AT CHEESECAKE FACTORY, NOW??! There will be nobody to share my mushroom bites with. *creying*

Review: i.Fairy Lucius Grey

Boo! Now we find out why I try no to work with deadlines while on hiatus. This review was supposed to be up on Sunday. Oops.  Anyway, here! Have a review of some lenses sponsored by Apple of Your Eyes (aka. Serenity Shop)!

Enlargement: 9.5/10  These are about 15 mm, and look close to that size on my eyes; definitely very enlarging on me.

Colour/Design: 9/10  Ah, conflict! The colour is definitely light and bright. This grey shows up in about any lighting: it's super opaque and tends to look very vibrant. ♥  Oh-- and the grey has a blue tint.

The design, from a distance, resembles the popular 'Candy'/'Jewel'/'Sakura'/'Jelly' design.  That is because, in essence, the Lucius design is a thin ring of colour and then a fairly prominent black circle. However, where the 'Candy' design is smooth along the inside, the Lucius design is more uneven/jagged up close. (Nothing too cartoonish or sharp, though.)

Comfort: 9/10 i.Fairy/Vassen lenses are always a comfortable bet for me~.

(Actually... have another pic! I felt 'fancy' after using filters and such. Look!)
(Yep: camwhoring. Je ne regrette rien~. Haha)

Overall? I am rather fond of these lovelies.  The design dissuades me from wearing them very often (as I prefer lenses with more colour coverage), but the colour keeps me intrigued. o:  Too dolly to do away with~.

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, and Ten.

COMING SOON. . .

11.10.12

That time my 'On Hiatus' post never posted...

So, there was supposed to be a (scheduled) post explaining that I was on hiatus, but. Welp. Clearly, there is not. Ugh.

One day I will understand how to use blogger.... ONE DAYYYYY.
----

So yeah, if you emailed me, commented on my blog, sent me a message (or left a comment) on YouTube, or contacted me on Gaia (whether through PM or on my CL thread): I WILL BE GETTING BACK TO YOU.

Also, I AM SORRY THAT I AM THE LARGEST ASS-BUTT EVER TO WALK THE EARTH.  That is, sorry for 'disappearing' for a month.

(I even missed mail from my sponsors. *headdesk*)

Suffice to say? My 12 hour days ate me alive.   I cannot say when I'll be back to blogging more often, but I'll try for at least one post a week. :/

(I wake up at 5 or 6 AM and don't get home til around 4 PM.  Then have to do schoolwork, make dinner, do laundry, etc.)  *whine, whine, whine*  I'll just... stop now. -_-;;

Still, I WILL FINALLY BE POSTING THE IFAIRY LUCIUS GREY REVIEW (on Sunday). Huzzah! :D

Preview pic of the lenses?  Here's me and my sis hanging out, being 'fancy'~!

---  - -  ---
TL;DR: I have been on hiatus (even though my post announcing it never went up -_-').  I am still on a soft hiatus, as my schedule is still crazy.  I will be going for 1 post a week, but cannot promise anything. :/  The i.Fairy Lucius Grey review'll be up on Sunday, though.

Review: Fynale J15 Green

Allo!  Today I jump back on the lens review bandwagon~.  I've been trying to figure out my school schedule and when I have free time, and I think I found a balance. 8)   So here! Have a review written & recorded when I was still sick a few weeks ago.  ~~   The lenses herein were super-kindly sponsored by LoveShoppingholics.

^ (Sweaty because I was in Jamaica~) ^

Enlargement: 8/10 Ehhh, I think these are supposed to be 15 mm?  Whatever their true DIA, they only enlarge like a 14.5 mm lens on my eyes.

Colour/Design: 6.5/10  This colour is not very light.  It is reminiscent of the Geo Angel Green, actually, which also tends to look dark green.  (However, the Angel series' pigment is very opaque-- these J15 Greens are fairly translucent.  This allows a little bit of a halo effect, sometimes.)  ~~  Design-wise, there is no shortage of 'flower petal' lens designs, and this one is pretty enough.

(flash)

- Komi Look 4D (Flower Petal) Green vs. Fynale J15 Green -

Comfort: 9/10  I find Belmore and Vassen lenses (the brands Fynale OEMs) to be very comfy.

(Apologies for my hair. :/  The Dayquil told me it would look great.)

All in all, these are rather disappointing. I had a rare moment where I believed the advertisement picture(s). ; _ ;  I rarely do, but they looked so opaque and light.  The comfort and pattern are great, but I am very picky about green lenses.  Green does not look good on me in general, so I want a worthwhile colour.  ~~  If you prefer a more subtle green lens with an interesting pattern, and don't mind a cute halo effect, though, the Fynale J15 Green are right up your alley. ;P

And here are the extra pics, as usual: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight.
