Review: Luxury Babe 12 Brown

 
So.... I'm now averaging, like, one post a week.  Ack.  I have to pump up the quantity, yeah?  Step one: post this review right now.  8)  The lenses in this review were very kindly sponsored by LoveShoppingholics. (I have reviewed their service here, actually.)

Enlargement:  8/10  These are listed at 15 mm, and for being the maximum DIA for circle lenses, they do not enlarge very much at all.

Colour/Design: 10/10  Love. Just pure love.  These lenses are, as I had hoped, yellow.  Or gold, if you prefer.  They are rather opaque, but not fully so, like the EOS Dollyeye series is. Since they are not fully opaque, you sometimes see a glittery effect over a darker eye colour, where there are 'splits' in the lens colour, radiating from the center.  I also get a gorgeous bit of a halo effect, sometimes. Unf.

Anyway, in some lighting, these lenses look positively yellow. In most lighting, though, they are an obvious sort of golden colour. Nothing quite too overwhelming, though, what with very occasional darker lines and  streaks of orange-brown throughout.  (Fairly visible in low light, too, for not being super-light nor completely opaque.)

Comfort: 9.5/10  Most lenses from Fynale and Luxury Babe are made by Belmore, but some are OEMs from Vassen/Dueba.  Whichever brand makes these, they are rather thin and super comfortable. (The water content is supposed to be 45%, so that likely plays a part.)

All in all, these turned out even better than I hoped for.  It has been a while since I've gotten so excited over a pair of lenses.  In fact, I've fallen so in love with the Luxury Babe 12 Browns that I've worn them almost every time I put in lenses over the past 2 weeks.  Simply put, these are rather like a slightly more 'natural' pair of EOS Dollyeye Brown (which I also adored, and were my second pair of circle lenses ever). In three words, these are 'bold, but believable'. <33 (Or perhaps 'daring, but darling'...)

Stay Bronde or Change It Up Again?

So it has been about 2 1/2 months since I got my hair dyed and went bronde. Blonde. Muesli. Whatever it is, I love it. Haha

Anyway, after such a big change, I occasionally missed my natural brunette colour, and still felt the ever-present desire to dye my hair an unnatural colour. (Violet, turquoise, silver, etc.)

Mostly? I'm pondering going to red. Meh.  We'll get to that later.  First, though, let's have a look at my hair: Now vs. Then (when my hair was freshly coloured).

And here is the pièce de résistance.  You can really see how ridiculously obvious my roots have become.  (The coloured bits are actually still light, my hair just looks darker in that lighting.... and when I neglect it.)

So yeah. I have an appointment at the hairdresser on Saturday in a few weeks, so I'd better figure this out by then..... oh!  I said I'd explain the kind of crazy red I want, yeah? o: (It's closer to maroon, really.)

ASDFKASFHLSFLG-- I don't know! :/    I also thought about getting an ombre with my natural colour changing to red or blond. Like this (except with a proper gradated colour)~.

*sigh* Whatever.  I'll figure it out by tomorrow, I suppose.

 EDIT: Bwahaha!! Mom post-poned the colour until my next appointment, in about a month.  Looks like I'm rocking the 'obvious inch and a half of roots' look for a while. xD

Still, ADVICE?  SUGGESTIONS???  ; ____ ;  Anyone? (...Bueller?)

Review: EOS A3 (Bambi) Grey

Hey!  I've had another adventurous (and busy) time recently!  I had a head-cold, hung out with Anna (of Fenua Beauté) a few times, and officially kick-started the transfer process for the fall semester at a new university. :D

Back on topic, though, here are the fairly recent EOS A3 Grey, which were sent as a gift to me by Review Circle Lens (as a thank you for helping out with the site a bit).

(Why yes, my hair is a hot mess.)

Enlargement: 8.5/10  This series is 14.8 mm (Geo's Princess Mimi/Xtra Bambi series is 15.0 and  Geo's original Angel Color Bambi series is 14.2). Compared to the Princess Mimis, these are not all too huge. Maybe the ring on these is too thin for that effect?

Colour/Design: 9/10  Ah, here we are again: this is yet another brand's take on the now-iconic (Geo) Angel Color Bambi design.  The EOS A3 series sort of softens the original Bambi design with a thinner dark circle (which has softer 'cut-ins', itself).

The third, brown/gold tone around the center is also fairly 'soft' compared to both of Geo's Bambi series~.  These lenses are an opaque, medium grey that is rather visible in daylight, and sometimes looks a bit lighter. <3

Comfort: 10/10  Long live EOS and how comfy their lenses are for me!

Overall, the EOS A3 series is one of my favourite incarnations of the original Angel Color Bambi design.  I do wish the colour was lighter/more dramatic (as I usually do with grey lenses). The size is also fairly balanced (I felt like the Geo Princess Mimis were too large for me).  Honestly, though? I will likely be repurchasing the Angel Color Bambi Sesame Greys (the 1 year version, however). Out of the many Bambi versions from different brands, the original is still my favourite. ♥♥

Review: G&G/Dueba Max Pure Grey

Enlargement: 8/10  About any Max Pure series is 14.5 mm, and these are no exception.  Average enlargement for that size.

Colour/Design: 7.5/10  The Max Pure design is very well known: a dark ring (but not thick) and a thin ring of colour inside of that. The colour is opaque enough, but 'fades' as it goes inward, so there's a nice transition to your natural eye colour. (The Max Pure design looks amazing on light eyes.)  Anyway, the grey itself is blue-ish, and not all too light.  It isn't dark, really, but it's definitely rather subtle in most lightings.

Comfort: 9.5/10  G&G/Dueba is always rather comfy for me~.

All in all, the Max Pure Greys are a nice enough pair of lenses.  They enlarge a decent amount and the design is a rather popular one.  Due to my taste in lenses (I've a flair for the dramatic), these lenses just will not end up in my pile of favourites.  (Sorry.) They're dolly and adorable, but they simply.... are not exciting enough for me. D:
